Capcom has just released some interesting information regarding its upcoming release Dark Void, namely that the project was once envisioned for the NES, and that a re-imaginig of its 8-bit incarnation will be headed to Nintendo’s DSi.
The trend of 8-bit demakes is hot over at Capcom, who released the retro -styled Mega Man 9 this past year and recently announced that another 8-bit Mega Man will come out next year.
Capcom actually gives a pretty in depth account of the game’s origins, describing the special chip they were developing for the game and how the SNES basically killed the project.
Oh, and the game was originally called Dark Rift!
