JETPACKS!
Sony has revealed the first official screens of their next installment in the Killzone franchise, Killzone 3, and they look like they’ve been dipped in awesome sauce.
The original Killzone (PS2) was dubbed Sony’s “Halo-killer,” but after receiving lackluster reception, it fell dormant until it’s resurgence as a third-person isometric shooter for the PSP, called Killzone: Liberation. It was a great game, but not an FPS and nothing like the franchise’s original concept.
It wasn’t until the PS3 breathed new life into the franchise with Killzone 2 in 2009 that fans were delivered what they were originally promised: a polished FPS with visceral combat and a graphics engine that could blow away Halo. And it did just that.
Now Guerilla Games (Killzone‘s Amsterdam developers) is back in it for a third Killzone, and this time around they’re aided by some of the staffers over at Naughty Dog, the folks that brought us Sony’s Uncharted series.

Mario may be the master of Mushroom Kingdom, but that hasn’t stopped programmer Jay Pavlina from dragging other classic NES icons into goomba territory in his new aptly-titled game Super Mario Bros. Crossover. In this undefinabley-awesome act of retro bliss, players get the chance to rampage through all the levels of the original Super Mario [...]
