The Nintendo 3DS was officially revealed today at Nintendo’s E3 press event.

Here are its main features:
• The top screen is widescreen, and features glasses-free 3D effects
• It will play 3D Hollywood movies
• The “3D depth slider” allows you to adjust the intensity of the 3D effect
• It has a circular analog stick called the “Slide Pad”
• The bottom screen is the same size as the one on the DS, and is still a touch panel
• Below the touch screen three buttons: Select, Home and Start
• Features a motion sensor and gyroscope
• Compatible with Nintendo DSi
• There is a camera facing the player, positioned above the top screen
• It will be linked to a free to use internet Nintendo service
• The 3DS has a new Kid Icarus game called Kid Icarus: Uprising
