Axelay is a top-down shooter from Konami, makers of the classic shooter series Life Force and Gradius.
Unlike tradition shooters, players don’t get upgrades by flying over power-ups dropped by defeated enemies, but instead enhance their ship by advancing in the game and earning upgrades.
The game world also shifted as players moved left or right, allowing for a larger game world.
This sc-fi shooter is a classic and when it says “hard mode” it means it.
