
Now that the instant streaming discs for both the PS3 and the Wii have shipped, the Bros wanted to see just how quick videos would load on each system, as well as how good they look and if there was any lag/drop outs on either one.
We let the videos play for a bit to see if there would be any lag, but there was none on either system. Also, to our surprise, the Wii not only loaded videos a bit faster, but the picture quality was better.
I don’t get it.
I should mention that we were streaming a SD video, and using a 1G connection through COX internet, but regardless, the picture quality should look miles better on the PS3. Come on Netflix!
And as for presentation and user interface, we’re going to have to go with the Wii on this one. Using the Wiimote to rate videos and browse movies just felt so right.
