Wii Video on demand service headed to US

While Wii-owners in Britain can enjoy the BBC’s iplayer, and Japanese Wii’s have been getting exclusive video content for quite some time, American Wii-owners have depended on youtube videos and simiarly gritty flash players to satisfy their video hunger. But now Fujisoft, maker of Japan’s “Minna no Theater” (Everyones Theater) says that they are bringing the service to the United states… maybe even this year. 

The service allows users to purchase “Blocks” of programming via Wii points (or dollars). Each block is good for one full movie or three television shows. You can rent your block for 2 days (300 Wii points) 3 days (600 Wii points) or 5 days (800 Wii points).
