Loose Fur may have a moniker similar to the Dark Prince himself, but you”ll find no Lucifer here. These guys probably lie somewhere more around purgatory.
The band feels like a sort of “Wilco Lite,” with two of the guys, Jeff Tweedy and Glenn Kotche being members of Wilco, while the other dude, Jim O’Rourke has produced many of their albums. O’Rourke also worked on albums for Sonic Youth, Stereolab, Faust and Joanna Newsom. He also callaborated with Thurston Moore and now lives in Japan, so good for him.
