“Fast Food feels fuzzy, cuz its made from stuff that’s skuzzy.”
Ahh the indelible wisdom of The Beets.
As a frequent fawner for Patti Mayonnaise, I was delighted to see the that The Beets, a mock Mod band from Nickelodeon’s 90′s cartoon Doug, are being memorized in a T-shirt by Busted Tees.
The shirt, which goes for twenty bucks, is a mock memorabilia shirt from The Beets‘ fictional 1996 Killer Tofu Tour. The Beets were a paradoy of The Beatles, with Killer Tofu as their hit song.
For fans of the show, the site even adds a little inside joke, stating “Any Doug fan will find this shirt very Funnie”
Get it? Funnie. The main character’s full name was Doug Funn– nevermind.
Now excuse me while I go play my Super Pretendo.
Hmmm…which one’s Ringo
Listen to Killer Tofu!

The first video game I ever saw was Kung-Fu for the NES. My older sister’s friend down the street had just gotten the system, so she kindly escorted [...]
What if a deranged Santa Robot decided we all didn’t deserve gifts this year? Mega Man would come and bust ‘em up, that’s what! AceSparks of Sprite Inc. has re-imagined Charles Dicken’s classic, A Christmas Carol into a Mega Man game where the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, Future and Jacob Marley are evil robots [...]

Crossover. In this undefinabley-awesome act of retro bliss, players get the chance to rampage through all the levels of the original Super Mario [...]
